98% of adults

A door entry system used to mean a handset on every flat’s wall. Almost everyone now carries a better one. These are Ofcom’s figures, not ours.

Landline Plus: the door rings their own phone.

For residents without a smartphone. If nobody answers in the app within 20 seconds, or nobody in the flat has it, Buzz-In rings the flat’s own phone, mobile or landline. They press 1 to talk to the visitor and enter a PIN to open the door.

For installers

The signal is where the doors are.

Buzz-In’s door controller carries its own 4G connection, and residents answer on 4G, 5G or WiFi.

96%

of the UK’s land area has 4G from at least one network — 84% from all four2

Coverage figures are Ofcom’s outdoor predictions for January 2026. Signal indoors is lower, most of all in rural areas.

What comes next.

January 2027
4G on 90% of the UK, on every network4

Each of the four operators must cover 90% of the UK’s land area with 4G on its own — not just between them.

2030
Standalone 5G in all populated areas5

The Government’s ambition for nationwide standalone 5G wherever people live.

2030
80% of Europe’s connections on 5G6

The GSMA’s forecast for mobile connections across Europe, with 4G down to 18%.

By 2033
2G and 3G switched off7

Agreed by the Government and all four operators. The networks of the future are 4G and 5G — which is what Buzz-In’s door controller uses.

Use the phone they already have.
